A 22 degree halo and a parhelic circle in Eastern Oregon photographed by my parents
The offset circle is exceptionally rare. As far as I know this is one of, at most, a couple dozen photos of a complete parhelic circle ever taken

I was out reading a book in a park on Friday, the final day of May, enjoying some sun before we went back to typical Seattle weather for a while. As the sun was setting a 22° halo developed around it, which I happily set the book aside to try to capture in a photo.
The subtle refraction of the sunlight into rainbow colors, most apparent at the top, seemed very appropriate going into June.

On 17th July '23 I saw the best #CircumzenithalArc I've ever seen! There was also a faint hint of a #SupralateralArc which showed up on colour subtracted images. The 1st image has the top of a #22DegreeHalo. Taken from #NorthOxfordshire #AtmosphericOptics #OpticalEffects
