Asumo que es por una mezcla entre miedo al futuro catastrófico y miedo a las probables campañas de acoso de la extrema derecha.

"The Year 2K" loomed big in my youth. It was the _Future_ in a way that I think kids today won't feel about a similarly different, say, 2035. As we start on #2025 and I'm seeing fifty candles in the next month I keep getting earwormed by the song 2525, also a big part of my youth, as a single in my dad's record collection. It hedges its bets with "if man is still alive", but makes guesses even further into the future, which appears to me to have been wildly optimistic! #2025newyear #year2525

#2025newyear good resolutions: making backups again :)
I have a linux machine in the basement with some black-magic smb.conf to allow it being recognized by my Macs for TimeMachine backups. It didn't survive having not enough space - TM is supposed to delete older backups in this case, but because "reason", it didn't.
So I start a new one, but of course there are all these "target" directories, some local LLMs I don't want to backup, and other stuff. Putting all of this into the backup exclusions is tiring. You can do:
tmutil addexclusion
Which is nice. But an even nicer option is this:

sudo brew services start asimovIt will run before every backup and update all build dirs of your projects! Yay.

Our New Year’s Eve meal are these fried cardoons in batter, which was my paternal grandmother’s holiday tradition, and she was actually born on this day (since deceased, passed on May Day, years ago). My grandmother was pure Piedmontese, the region to the far north bordering Switzerland.On the side, I also served coppa and prosciutto, which is a nod to my paternal grandfather, who was in the meat in salumi business with my grandmother working with him, plus my dad. There are also green and black olives, plus grapes.
We also enjoyed a classic Negroni cocktail with equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari.
