Great results in #wellingborough and #Kingswood for #labour
The former the second biggest swing from #toriesOut to Labour in any post-war election
The latter bodes well for prospects of a #portillo moment for #reesMogg - part of Kingswood moves into the seat he currently represents - we can but hope!
Rather gives the lie to recent events having a significant adverse impact on prospects for the #2024GE
#starmer will be strolling into Downing St this year!

What the #LOTO says in the media - mere months before the #2024GE - is 100% aimed at securing popular support in that election
Pointing out that a govt policy is broken is more effective in gaining floating voters than declaring it inhuman, I think
That's not to say #starmer does NOT think it "inhuman, contrary to human decency" - I'm sure he does. But such statements preach to the choir when he wants to convert enough of the 3million odd who gave the #toriesOut victory in 2019

We will see - #Patel disappeared without trace so I am not sure #braverman will do much better..... and the good #burghers of #fareham might at a pinch chuck her out at #2024GE if the #libDems get their act together & #labour de-emphasise the seat (which they cannot win)
The mass membership of the #toriesOut have never selected a leader with a brown skin given an option - they even preferred the mad #truss to #sunak

I would be wary relying on a single #poll - especially in a smaller, more cohesive society like #scotland - where one major story can move votes significantly
I would expect the #snp to recover somewhat beforee the #2024GE
The #toriesOut however - north & south of the border - are definitely toast and we have the potential for multiple #portillo moments, which I look forward to with some enthusiasm

"More of the same" is what you get if the #toriesOut sneak back in again on the back of a distrust amonsgst many of the electorate of the far left were #labour daft enough to repeat the failed corbyn experiment
Fortunately that will not happen and odds are good we will have a #centreLeft govt again to heal the nation after #2024GE

It will always be the case that most migrants lacking leave to remain will be those who arrived legally on tourist visas & simply failed to leave again....the boat people thing is just #showBoating to the #farRight by #toriesOut desperate for all the #nativist votes they can get

I'm not a member so it is not my call - but I would be happy with any of #nandy, #burnham if you could detach him from Manchester, #chrisBryant - or really any of the shadow cabinet
But #starmer has the gig and there is no chance he will not be PM after #2024GE other than a major health issue. I will be happy to see him stroll down Dowing Street.....I could not care less that he is less than inspiring - what we need is competence, not ooooooohs from Glastonbury

With #London not voting - almost 40% of voters here are #labour according to polls - and Scotland (where the #SNP in trouble will boost #labour ) and Wales a labour heartland not voting either, their national share of the vote is understated in these #local results
Ignore #Marr & co suggesting no majority will happen in #2024GE - labour are set to win barring accidents
