  5. For several months now, I have been collecting #Custodes #miniatures and my #army has grown beyond 2000 points worth fairly quickly.
After the October dataslate, I was on the bend whether or not I should continue collecting as the Custodes were the 2nd weakest army for a good while.
But the January balancing has renewed my #motivation to play and collect them.

To that end, I'd like to share a few #pictures of my #painting progress!

  14. Some fun end of year #photography wrap up comparisons.
Yesterday I realized after importing a couple photos that I needed to create the archive folder for 2023, now that it's not the current year.
Generally my file saving system goes:
Dropbox> Current Year Image Folders in 'general population' ordered by date, and then just folders based on year for all previous years, obviously, containing all the folders by shoot date for that respective year.
This year is the first full year I've been on day shift after 10 years of night shift, however I'm only counting folders from 2016 and onward because years previous to 2016 I was a sweet summer child who worked 8 hour shifts instead of a life re-arranging 12 hour shift (at least in my case).
This year I created 80 image folders (the screenshot says 93, ignore that because that includes high res file folders nested in dated ones), compared to my photo activity in some years, (at least for the past 7).
The lowest year (2020) had a total of eight folders, meaning I shot 8 times the entire year.
The highest activity year before this year was 2019 with 33 entries.

  21. How was your gardening year in 2023?

I've been looking back, celebrating the successes (it was a great year for cucumbers 😂) and trying to ignore the failures.

Hopes for 2024? An end to the rain would be good for a start. Also making better use of my new greenhouse.

  25. Now for the games I played...

I would say I have two that really really stood out, which are:
    - Chicory: A Colorful Tale
    - Omori

But I played some other games that I quite enjoyed:
    - New Pokémon Snap
    - Yakuza 5
    - Katamary Damacy Reroll
    - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
    - Venba
    - Stray

I should also mention Jusant, but I worked on it, so that's obviously a bit different!

    - My Love Affair with Marriage
    - Mondays
    - Vincent doit mourir
    - Perfect days
    - Le Règne Animal
    - Past Lives

    Older:
    - 12 Angry Men
    - The Shop Around The Corner

Not quite my alley but interesting nonetheless:
    - Mad God
    - House

It's not ordered by favorites, but in the one in which I experienced them.

  33. Been a long time since I shared anything here. This is a retrospective on the best (I think) articles from my blog in 2023. My blog is mostly history, some current events, culture, movies and books. It's a fun little community. Best wishes for 2024 and happy New Year!

  34. 2023 in review: In several facets of my life, I went to the brink and looked over the edge. But I never missed a meal, and always had a roof over my head. My son has thrived, and a way forward has made itself apparent. There's plenty to be grateful for, including my connections on Mastodon. #2023Recap
