At the beginning of October at #TablasCreek we were genuinely worried that the #2023harvest wouldn’t make it. September had been our coldest ever, el niño was building in the Pacific, and we were only 10% done with harvest. Fast forward a month and we’re ~75% done and feeling great about what we have in the cellar and the prospects for what's still out. In this week’s blog I dive into how we got here… and what we have to do before all is safely put to bed.

And we’re off! With the first two lots, including this #Viognier, from Austin Collins’s viewpoint on the forklift, we’re excited to welcome the #2023harvest at #TablasCreek. One day down, roughly 70 more to go.

I love the textures in this #photo: #mourvedre #grapes, coloring up nicely; shaggy brown #vines; green #leaves showing the first signs of autumn colors. The #2023harvest hasn't started yet at #TablasCreek, but it's imminent.
