EXTREMELY CLOSE ASTEROID FLYBY: There's no danger of a collision, but... Newly-discovered #Asteroid #2023BU will make an extremely close approach to Earth. On Jan 26th at 21:17 UTC (7:27 pm EST), the 5-meter-wide space rock will be well within our planet's belt of geosynchronous satellites. There is no risk of the asteroid impacting Earth. This small asteroid would turn into a fireball and disintegrate in the atmosphere, with some of the bigger debris potentially falling as small meteorites.

Based on recent reports on the size of #asteroids 2023 AT, #2023BU and 2022 KP3, the conversions for length units are apparently:
