Starting watching Barbarian, from 2022 (again) as it's leaving Netflix August 31. I just couldn't get it started before, thanks to my late night movie sessions where I often just pass out 😂 How many days will it take to get through this one, breaking it up into pieces - we shall see

I watched last year's LYLE LYLE CROCODILE (2022) and it's exactly the movie it looks like. Heart-warming family movie about a singing/dancing crocodile. Basically Mary Poppins.
The problem is that every song sounds like the radio crap when Fun had their hit song Some Nights. Also an America's Got Talent type show is also part of the plot.
If you've ever seen a movie before, nothing that happens will surprise you, but I had a good time.

Richard Linklater's Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood passed so completely under every movie-loving radar this year that I sometimes second-guess that I didn't just dream it myself. So I'm keeping a small light on for its sunny tenderness and a well-honed animation technique that makes the nostalgia both more fantastical and more present.
