  1. The Financial Times: an anonymous “high-powered banker” has asked, “Does anyone really care if the Strait of Hormuz is open?”

Does anyone really care how uncomfortable your prison cell is going to be?

  2. World’s richest 1% have already used fair share of emissions for 2026, says Oxfam | Greenhouse gas emissions | The Guardian

  3. FOX NEWS: All these lefties getting elected, OMG socialism is spreading across the country!
THE 99 PERCENT: Uh, you mean we *might* be able to afford eggs & doctor appointments again someday? Wowee, pretty scary to you 1 percent, I guess, huh?

  4. Quote from a book:

"When you have everything, the only luxury left is taking things away from others."

  5. Never forget: in spite of what they say, Conservatives have never wanted a "strong" middle class. They've only ever wanted 2 classes: slaveowners (them) and slaves (us). That's it.

The fact that people still believe (or pretend to believe) in "trickle-down" economics is disgusting.

  8. Just finished listening to the BBC readings of Blood in the Machine: The Origins of the Rebellion Against Big Tech. Certainly makes you realize we ordinaries have been fighting the 1% for centuries.

  12. Why is everything so expensive in Massachusetts? Because we have lots of rich people, some of the richest in the U.S.

You have to earn $903,401 to be in the top 1% here, but the median income is just $89,645 ($79,283 in Boston and $112,764 in Middlesex County).

So enough money to keep lots of high-end businesses (and developers) happy, but most of us live on 1/10th or less of what the least-rich 1-percenters make.
