Ah yes, we've entered the night are time of year for me where every..single..company decides to add a "Christmas" feel to their ads and material. e.g. red and green.
AKA the time when those of us who with #colourVisionDeficiency just...can't...read any of it and in extreme cases like mine get headaches from the constant barrage of it. Such a joyous time!

Stories from living with #colourblindness for #ColourBlindAwarenessDay
This is my last one. I've had it rough but for kids today I think it's worse. Colour is used everywhere in teaching and the tech uses for it. Seems to be little thought given to including colourblind kids.
I've been posting this lot because, after 50 odd years I honestly think it should be better not worse.I shouldn't be surprised given the way ppl with known disabilities are excluded but it still sucks.

Today, 6th Sept is #ColourBlindAwarenessDay. https://www.colourblindawareness.org/about-us/campaigns/colour-blind-awareness-day/
Please BoostSome facts:
- colourblind people can see colours, we just get them mixed up and inconsistently
- #1in12 people born with XY chromosomes have it
- #1in200 people born with XX chromosomes have it
- 300million people have it
- it's hereditary[1] and due to a defective X chromosome

[1] v.rarely it's a side effect of another condition -
I have colour vision deficiency, often mistakenly called colour blindness (I can see colours).
If you are like me you might struggle to see anything but dots here
For several years I've written help guides for employers and colleagues on including people like me but I've never written anything publicly.
Until now.
