Not too bad this weekend. I ended up with 39 POTA contacts on a mix of bands. It was rather fun, and got a few new ones that finally gave me 1000 parks hunted!

I put up my antenna wire today one more time for #POTA. My tuner has a power problem, so this time I had to work without it. Measuring my inverted vee with my analyzer I found out it was completely out of tune. Took some time to fix that but it was worth it. 29 QSO on #17m and #20m with Timor Leste as an #ATNO.

Today the #POTA activation was a hard piece of work. #17m was closed this morning, so I had to change the endfed antenna to #20m. It took an unusual long time to get the necessary QSO. In the end I was rewarded with Central African Republic, New Zealand, Panama and Brazil. 🇨🇫🇳🇿🇵🇦🇧🇷

Spontaneous #POTA activation this afternoon on #17m yielded 49 QSO. Lots of them I could do with stations in North America, especially Canada and U. S.
but also Cuba, Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, the latter being #ATNO.

This weekend was an interesting one. Yesterday was amazing band conditions and got most of my contacts, but today was kinda meh. There was lots of QRN, and propagation wasn't all that great. But ya know, I'll take 52 POTA contacts for a weekend! And I snuck one LLOTA contact in there too!

I did my #POTA activation of DE-0192 on Good Friday with an endfed antenna. First band was #17m. It started with few QSO but then things went well. After about 20 QSO I looked at an antenna wire in my booth and it was tagged with '17m'. But ... what wire did I use all the time then? Came out I had used the #15m wire and the tuner did his work. So I switched to 15m after a while and things went even better.

Holy cow this weekend was insane on HF. I ended up with 142 SSB POTA contacts, on all bands from 40 meters to 10 meters. It was so much fun! The colors are listed in the image's ALT text. I think I need a vacation after all that!

Spending this weekend working the new EFHW antenna, I got 96 POTA contacts across 10, 12, 17, 20 and 40 meters! All SSB, no digital! I am beyond happy with how it performs, and it even managed to get my last 2 states needed for hunting all 50 states in POTA!

7 back to back QSOs in 40 minutes on 17 m band this evening. Enjoyed every moment of it. There were more stations QRX but I had to go QRT for the day. Its great to unwind working stations on Morse at the end of a day at work.

@dcpatton yeah, I tried #30m and #12m they were dead, I can't access #60m sadly with my IC-746, BUT, I did have some luck on #17m 🙂

I just need to finish off #12m WAS for the U.S., and if I get the right antenna setup soon, I'll try for #6m too

I've been on #17m #ft8 building up contacts for whatever awards and cards I get. It's been *super* fun for several reasons.

1) I know why ft8 works so well. I know a lot about #LDPC codes and #digital comms. It's a joy to use this mode. It's literally the best FEC outside of #Polar codes. We rock!

2) It seems to tick off the local very old white male DX club to no end that "lazy people are getting dxcc for nothing!" rawr grumble fulminate etc
