Rather than an ask for donations, I want to encourage you to find your local spaces in your own community that help women and people of all genders who are fleeing gender based violence or intimate partner violence.
Maybe *you* can raise a few dollars, volunteer at a local space, or help out in other ways. Maybe you've never done that. It might seem scary! I guarantee you, you'll love it. Whether you raise $50 or $500, or nothing at all, by becoming part of it, you'll make a difference
I'm signing up, as I have for a few years now, for another year at Coldest Night of the Year (https://cnoy.org). It's a fundraising portal that you might have heard of. If you're not sure where to go to help... you can try that website and just search for your community there and see if any local services use it. It's very well run and effective.
Thank you for spending time today looking for a way to give back and help lift others.
And even if you don't, but you made it all the way to the end of this post, thanks. We all do what we can when we can.

In 2019, a photo taken without the knowledge or consent of a woman holding a mobility cane and using her phone was posted to social media with a caption implying that someone who is blind would not be using a phone. It went viral.
RNIB led a counter-campaign, called ‘Blind People Use Phones’ with activists flooding socials with selfies.

#OnThisDay, 25 Nov 1960, sisters Patria, Minerva and Maria Teresa Mirabal were assassinated for their political opposition to the Dominican dictator Trujillo.
In 1999, the UN designated 25 Nov as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women in the sisters' memory. The day now marks the start of 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.

Dziś w Międzynarodowy Dzień Praw Człowieka kończy się ogólnoświatowa kampania „16 dni akcji przeciw przemocy ze względu na płeć”.
Brak dostępu do aborcji to przemoc i dyskryminacja ze względu na płeć. Oznacza to, że łamane są nasze podstawowe prawa. Ponad połowie społeczeństwa, odmawia się prawa do bezpieczeństwa i życia bez przemocy.
Zmuszanie kogokolwiek do kontynuowania ciąży jest przemocą. To narażanie naszego zdrowia, życia i przyszłości.
Aborcja musi być dostępna - tak wcześnie jak to możliwe i tak późno jak to potrzebne. Zawsze i dla każdej osoby. W poczuciu bezpieczeństwa. Bez barier i utrudnień.
Szkoda, że politycy i polityczki, którzy tak chętnie się z tej okazji wypowiadają o przemocy wobec kobiet, jednocześnie aktywnie odbierają nam sprawczość, kontrolę nad własnym ciałem, zdrowiem i życiem.
Na szczęście w ogromnej większości przypadków radzimy sobie same - dzięki aborcyjnej solidarności i siostrzanemu wsparciu. Grupy aktywistyczne i feministyczne należące do sieci Aborcji Bez Granic, zapewniają:
