The 3 #ReconstructionAmendments, #13A-#15A, were passed from 1866-1870. Then, in theory, all black men had the right to vote 🗳. It took until #LBS's #VotingRightsActs to seriously eliminate the disenfranchising #JimCrowLaws in the #South.

Today, I honored those who marched in Selma by wearing my Historic #selma t-shirt to brunch with friends. The #15A gave Black men the right to vote. The #19A made it so predominantly white women could vote. It wasn’t until they marched in Selma that I was included in We.
