  2. My secondary #Monitor kind of died on me.

    So I moved my #Asus VG278QR to secondary & got a Asus ROG Strix XG27AQMR 27.0" 2560x1440 300Hz🥳️😎

I hated the stand that came with it, made my screen sit too close.
So for $37 I got a pole stand, way better.
    So I'm rocking #1080p 144Hz & #1440p 144Hz NO #HDR
Why? because of X11/Kwin, both screens have to be same refresh rate & X11 has no HRD.
Now come April 2026 #Kubuntu v26.04 LTS with full Wayland🥳️

  3. Having two #1440p #ultrawide monitors, one on the main desk and one on the #SimRacing rig, I thought I'd give my #GPU a little slack by cloning the displays instead of extending the desktop. But it turns out my gaming performance was kinda shit that way. I don't know why, it doesn't make sense to make the desktop pixel count bigger, but perfomance was way better today on #Borderlands4.

If you've got one system pulling double-duty as a regular #gaming desktop and a #simulation rig, let's swap ideas around for squeezing the best perfomance out of it!

  4. Here it is! 14 minutes of #Starfield gameplay. 1440p resolution. Graphics settings on ULTRA. No FSR & FSR on 75% (equivalent to upscaling from 1080p). Frame Generation ON & Frame Generation OFF. ->

  5. I think I'm going to give up on 27" 1440p 144Hz #Freesync displays. Every single one I bought (new) started flickering after some use. That's 3 units, one of which was repaired and developed the same issue a month later, so it's like 3.5 units.

Is the whole industry like this nowadays? What do you use?

I do still need to test my GPU and DP cable (I use the one that came with each unit, so I think it's sane to assume it'll support all of the monitors features...
