This weekend was an interesting one. Yesterday was amazing band conditions and got most of my contacts, but today was kinda meh. There was lots of QRN, and propagation wasn't all that great. But ya know, I'll take 52 POTA contacts for a weekend! And I snuck one LLOTA contact in there too!

Holy cow this weekend was insane on HF. I ended up with 142 SSB POTA contacts, on all bands from 40 meters to 10 meters. It was so much fun! The colors are listed in the image's ALT text. I think I need a vacation after all that!

#Llunydelbrogitdelmon se m'ha acabat! 😮

Spending this weekend working the new EFHW antenna, I got 96 POTA contacts across 10, 12, 17, 20 and 40 meters! All SSB, no digital! I am beyond happy with how it performs, and it even managed to get my last 2 states needed for hunting all 50 states in POTA!

#Bouvet Island was the main target today while I once more #POTA activated DE-0192 this afternoon. I decided to build up the antenna for 10 to 15 m this time. The bad news is I didn't even hear 3Y0K. But #10m and #12m was a very good decision. 50 QSO of which 49 were #DX!
A real bunch of US stations worked me, and South America was open as well: Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
And South Africa! And Caribbean stations! Oh my!
Thanks hunters!

Yesterday I made a #POTA quickie on #12m and #15m. 4 continents reached with 26 QSO. I stopped when it began to snow.

My 40/20/15 inverted vee antenna was not in the mood today - high swr. Therefore I changed to another antenna and could work half of all US hams on #15m and #12m for #POTA. Plus #Iran as ATNO. Thanks hunters!
The Jewish Cemetery near to 'my hill' got a new signpost btw.

Today was really pretty good on 10 and 12 meters! Got 22 POTA contacts, all SSB, except one which was FM! That was really neat! It was such a clear communication, I was really amazed! And I got one contact up in Alaska all the way from Pennsylvania!

New Year SSB pile! I managed to get 27 SSB POTA contacts today! 10 meters and 12 meters was wide open! So many wonderful operators out today, thank you to them all!

Here's my xmas haul on 10 and 12 meters. The bands weren't HORRIBLE, but definitely not all that great. Only got 9 SSB contacts from Thursday thru today. the rest are digital. I'm always happy to get Iceland tho, even if it is on digital. I wonder how New Years is going to look!

The last 2 weeks have been so busy that I forgot to map my contacts for the last 2 weeks. Here's what I got last week and this week. Yesterday was pretty poo on the 10 & 12 meter bands, so it was all digital. But today I got 7 SSB contacts, so it kinda makes up for it. >.<

As usual, the red ones are SSB, the blue is digital.

Here's this weekend's radio haul! Got 37 SSB contacts! I'm so happy with not having to touch digital. It's always so much more fun this way. Digital is great for when the bands are meh, but I always prefer voice.

I finally updated my Awards page on my blog from #ARRL #LoTW and it looks like I'm three (3) states away from #WAS on #12m (digital)!

(I had not updated this page in a *year*, lol)

This was a pretty quiet weekend for radio. I only managed 9 SSB contacts, and the rest were digital, and even those were kind of sparse compared to usual. Tho I did actually hit Italy on SSB, which was pretty cool!

This weekend was really good for #10m #SSB finally! The band is definitely waking up, and I'm so wanting to take advantage of it! Looking forward to more weekends like this one to get even more #POTA and such! Even managed to get one #SOTA contact too!

On a side note, I found out my radio manages to tune my 10m antenna to #12m at a usable level. Obviously it's not the most efficient like that, but hey, it does work! Managed to get one contact!

Today it rained my piggyback during my #POTA activation, but nevertheless it was fun: many #DX, Japan, South Korea, Canada, US, Panama, Venezuela, Madagascar on #10m #12m #15m. 59 QSO - thanks hunters!

12m CW today 22 qso, about 2 hrs. None were 5NN 73 TU. Each were proper qso - name exchange, power, antenna, qth etc.
Got couple of QRP stations as well. Very good propagation today. Now, my brain has melted.

I thought #12m wasn't working on my Icom 746, so I hooked up my FT-857D to the same antenna (an EFHW8010) that I can surprisingly tune to #12m to take a look...

looks like 12m is still dead here, lol

#HamRadio

@dcpatton I sometimes forget that those bands aren't part of the contests, lol

I'm slowly trying to finish up #WAS on #12m so I usually check at least that band, lol

@dcpatton yeah, I tried #30m and #12m they were dead, I can't access #60m sadly with my IC-746, BUT, I did have some luck on #17m 🙂

all the fun are on the other bands, lol

lots of great openings right now 🙂

Now I have #WAS on #80m #40m #30m #20m #17m #15m and #10m 👀

I just need to finish off #12m WAS for the U.S., and if I get the right antenna setup soon, I'll try for #6m too

@particlesbbs nice!

yeah, #10m and #12m seem to have been working nicely for me today too 🙂

#17m and #15m was a bit easier, but also #ftx only.
