  1. Here's another angle of it.
    The antenna connection is the SMB female inside that hole there.
    Rather inconvenient.
    The RX card also has SMB female, TX has SMB female as well, but on a pig tail cable and not soldered to the PCB directly.

  2. A tiny bit dirty, but temporary RX connection I have in my Nokia ME59 while I'm modifying it to 23cm.
    The TX side is going to be an annoying pile of work, essentially a complete rebuild.
    The 5 stage PA designed in the eighties is going to be an absolute bear to drag from 900 MHz to 1297MHz.
    So I don't think the BFR93A-> BLU98 -> BLV90-> BLV92 -> BLV94 stack will survive.
    Replacing it in full or in part will likely happen.

  3. YES!
    Band is not gone.
    Not back to it's former glory. but not some evil joke like 25mW EIRP limit or something.
    But still very usable.
    And unlike now, I should not have to buy back the band in 25kHz chunks if I want to operate on it.
