I'm really happy to have recently unearthed this cheap wooden whistle (forerunner of the tin whistle) that I bought at least 10 yrs ago. I wasn't impressed with it at the time (the joint was very loose) but the time it's spent neglected in my damp little cottage has done it the world of good! 🙌🙂

I was thrilled to see two red kites on my trip down to Dover yesterday! First time I've seen them here (I'm very much the armchair birder) and although I had known that they are increasingly common in Kent, it still came as a very pleasant surprise. Gorgeous birds! #redkites #kites #kent #england

This was taken just two minutes later than on the previous evening! Goes to show how much cloudcover affects the light 👍 #sunset #kent #england

Yesterday's sunset scene was also quite nice. It looks to be the end of the fair weather spell though, as we've had blanket cloud coverage today and a decent amount of rain—thankfully! 🙂 #sunset #kent #england
