I think a tonne of people abandoned #Eurovision this year, so a lot of folks who might have voted for anyone else simply weren't participating. I took zero interest in it myself and have seen very very few of my Fediverse peeps engaging.
Add that to the PR war taking place globally, and you can be sure the govt of Israel was pouring money into the event to demonstrate "support" for their current actions. All part of the narrative to blur all lines between a country and a people. -
