Has this hood been claimed by the most innocuous gang in the Pacific Northwest?

@peterdrake I have been thinking about this for a while now, and I believe I finally have an answer that I'm satisfied with: Twilight 2000.
I know, you're confused. You're wondering why a game like T2K would even remotely be considered #solarpunk. It's very simple.
In T2K, you as protagonist characters have the opportunity to make a better future from a collapsed and fallen one. The pieces are all around you to do so.
But also, unlike most solarpunk games, there is no predefined definition of what "better" actually means. You are free to decide for yourself and given your situation what better is.
Not only that, you are free to decide what mechanisms you bring to bear in order to make that better world come about. Some threats won't be amenable to a simple conversation and a small meal.
Some threats you have to have heavy artillery and a couple of flanking infantry units to deal with. Not everybody will be on board with your idea of the perfect solarpunk future.
You want to build an outpost of civilization amidst the fallen ruins of the old, the latest edition has all the tools you need to make that happen. But it also includes all of the mechanics that tell you why it's very, very hard. And will always be a struggle.

@peterdrake @Tim_Eagon I really like #EclipsePhase for a crunchier simlulation that takes on both mental and physical aspects rather than “hit points”.

1. Played almost 6 hours of the couch co-op It Takes Two with @peterdrake for his birthday. He was very patient with my utter lack of skill with the Xbox controller.
2. Helped my parents with a video conversion and transfer problem that's been bedeviling them for weeks.
3. Played the final game needed to satisfy our 2023 #BoardGamesAtoZ challenge! -

> Any skill toy or juggling themed Mastodon servers out there@RussSharek and [email protected] are good people to ask, according to Trunk;

I'd also ask @peterdrake, @yaxu, @DToher, and maybe @chestas.

1. Fancy breakfast pastries.
2. Successful sign-ups for #GameStorm. I got into all of @peterdrake 's games and most of the ones I am running have filled up.
3. More fun with spreadsheets. -
We started off both vacation and V fortnight with Verdant. I quite like the plant facts, even if they are in an impossibly tiny font. @peterdrake managed to squeak a 76 vs. 73 victory by going for completed plants and diversity while I went more for matching room, plant, item. And, well, lots of items.
While I can appreciate that Verdant is adding complexity with the draft options and green thumb actions, I think I might actually prefer Calico's harsher simplicity.

This evening we played the last of the Q games we own, The Quacks of Quedlinburg.
If real-life rats were as adorable as the ones frolicking around this scoring track, we'd all have rat feeders in our yards.
@peterdrake really should have won tonight's game, but he forgot to use his flask at the end, so I won by a whisker.

They had the Cartographers Deluxe Edition in the game library, so I was able to try it out.
Spatial visualization is not easy for me, especially with 9:00 pm brain, so I was surprised by how close the final scores were (79 vs. 74). My expert forestry and attention to diagonals served me well. Drawing monsters on my opponent’s map was definitely the best part. Muhuhaha
@peterdrake ‘s verdict: “Kingdom Builder, but flip and write.” Fair.
