CW: Viernes de Mitología Griega sobre el mito de Aracne. TW suicidio
Ovidio no escribió Las Metamorfosis para recopilar sus mitos griegos favoritos, sino para hacerles un retelling con la intención de hacer crítica social de la época.
Ovidio había sido exiliado por el emperador Augusto porque se sentía muy incómodo con sus obras, que además había prohibido. A través de #Aracne, Ovidio nos habla de la censura al artista cuando éste se mete con el poder.
No sabemos cómo serían las versiones griegas de Aracne, si bien se especula mucho que en efecto sería un cuento sobre hubris.
