  1. Sometimes my work is helping someone who got blindsided by an unexpected shift in the Cybersecurity landscape.

Sometimes my work is just helping someone "walk their perimeter" and "check their locks".

And sometimes, my work is helping a widely recognized subject matter expert, who is doing potentially life changing work. And well, I mostly help them "walk their perimeter" and "check their locks".

But it tends to be an awfully fun "walk".

I have received so many hilariously unnecessary apologies.

I've heard "sorry you had to read my code and specification documents", so many times when that code and documentation was a fascinating delight.

Anyway, this was the kind of Friday morning that makes up for a week communicating about PHP patching.

  2. @Walker I did my part this year. I joined my static website into two separate web rings.

I haven't done much in the way of adding animated GIF files, yet, though.

  3. @afilina Oof. I've seen plenty of humor to cope by admins, but I am thankful I haven't seen anything particularly mean spirited.

And I've seen lots of hug-ops salutes between those fixing the issues.

All of the angry jokes I have seen in Cybersecurity this week involve using the number 4 as a private key.
