  4. @eclecticpassions I use that has now replaced just for taking notes, I don't program or anything like that.

Lately I have installed on a another PC to run , , for example.

So I take notes, lots of them ...
On the left panel are the notes, plus the Inline code (coloured red) to format the part that needs copying on the right, strangely I need to do Inline codes twice or four 'AltGr 7 (backticks) ' for the the formatting to work.

    New blog post: eclecticpassions.net/blog/mark

Reviewed my new planner of choice for 2025 - the MARK's EDiT weekly notes layout from Japan. I've used Hobonichi, Nolty, Midori and the like; and I have a good feeling for Marks esp how it passed my fountain pen test. ;)

What's your planner setup? I still enjoy paper planners / diaries a lot despite having most of my things digitized. Analogue for the win!

  14. I decided that the most comfortable and future-proof way for me to listen to music is to buy albums and listen to them like I did before music streaming services existed.

The motivation came from a conversation I had with @eclecticpassions, Morgan and @autumnstuff during #IWC2026!

I found out that Plex has a music player and it’s supposed to be good. The thing is: I need a plex server where my music lives. There’s an old Lenovo ideapad that doesn’t perform at all under Win10 anymore so I installed Linux Mint yesterday and set up a Plex server today! It’s working! I can stream my music on my laptop and phone from the old laptop I wanted to throw away.

Now I’m trying to set up that the music can be stored on a network drive (HDD connected to the router) so I can transfer new music comfortably on my main laptop. Let’s hope this works! I have very limited experience with Linux but Mint makes it comfortable enough. Working with the terminal is scary though but with the help of tutorials I worked my way through this.

This old thing is still really slow though.

  20. I added a couple of new things to my , an Upvote button inspired by @eclecticpassions and a "This week in other years" section featuring posts from years before made in the same calendar week (despite 500+ posts I still don't have enough for an "On This Day" kinda thing).

I'll write a quick post about these later :P
