It's a wonderfully clear & warm night and the park right in front of my building has a large group of neighborhood parents with a couple of dozen aged 2-6 children & there are sparklers

Can't help but notice that people who complain about the US Senate being "un-democratic" whenever Wyoming or North Dakota help push something through
never complain when Rhode Island, Delaware or Connecticut do the same...
The Senate was set up as part of a compromise to a representational system of democratic government
Without that compromise, the United States might never have existed
