This song is better known for the cover Mina sang. The composer and original singer is Gino Paolo though.
He was really famous in the 60s-70s, a golden age for Italian music.
Another of his hits is Sapore di Sale. My mother used to sing it while cooking (title translation: the taste of salt)

#TIL that these are called a #volume in #bouldering. In bouldering, there are #paths, which are well-designed #climbing routes, to practice specific skills used in bouldering. In a bouldering gym, a path is built with plastic elements called volumes. This volume is part of a path made for kids, and has the shape of an elephant in a #cartoon #style.
EXIT: Not a volume but a grip! (See reply to this for details - thanks @codebyjeff )

Two things NOT to do as my program manager if you don't want to annoy me...
DON'T jump on Slack threads addressed to other developers just to say you don't know the answer to that, and the person it was originally addressed to will need to answer...
DON'T ask for updates on a task that you can easily tell that I'm not currently working on by looking at the task manager...
There are plenty of others - I'm an Old Fart, set in his ways and easily annoyed - but they're near the top of the list

Looking for suggestions for a simple, free issue tracker to be used by a non-profit
Can be pretty basic - actually, the simpler the better. One step up from Trello would work (although maybe even Trello would do it)
An API that could integrate with Slack might be really useful
Able to send out notifications on certain actions would be a big help
It *could* be self-hosted, but might be better not to be
TIA 🙏

Every time someone asks me,
"What is your opinion of AI?"
I answer,
"What is your opinion of food?"
Are you a foodie? Do you know about farming and pesticides? Do you have a sweet tooth? Do you have a favorite cuisine? Do you think we should learn to eat insects?....
"AI" is a monster umbrella topic, and everyone who wants to talk about it seems to have a specific aspect in mind that they want to discuss, rather than "AI"
Which why, IMHO, there are so few productive discussions about it.
Pick a topic and ask about that, not "Let's discuss food"
(If you want to. I filter out the phrase where ever I can, so won't even see this post)

It's amazing the number of times over the years (this isn't our first recession, I think everyone here is old enough to remember)
where I've seen a job available post...
and then almost right after it, someone looking who'd be a good fit...
and because of timing, or distractions, or filtering, they just missed it and I was able to point them to it
We'd all like to fix the world, but we're all pretty tired. A small thing you can do is just subscribe to #getFediHired & keep your eyes open to help out if you remember something helpful
So much of hiring these days is really pure luck - let's help folks Get Lucky

It occurred to me recently that, as I enter the later stages of my life,
and begin to visit doctors who are only now emerging from America's medical schools,
that I may soon visit a doctor who only knows how to print their name illegibly....
