Are you coming to @DrupalConEur ? I'd love to see you and talk #DDEV at any of several BoFs or you can often find me at the #platformsh booth. https://events.drupal.org/lille2023/schedule?field_track_target_id%5B57%5D=57&combine=ddev

Because I needed it on the weekend, I wrote an updated short tutorial: "Import WordPress site into local project via DDEV + BackWPup" #ddev #backwpup #WordPress https://dev.to/mandrasch/import-wordpress-site-into-local-project-via-ddev-backwpup-18p6

@outofcontrol This time it was a ludicrous behaviour when setting up #DDEV and #PhpCSFixer within #docker with "external tools". Phpstorm only excepted one single setting after each other and I had to restart the software after each setting so that Phpstorm would find config files in the docker container. After clearing the cache everything worked as expected.

As nice as #DDEV seemed to be, I am now back to using #Laravel #Valet. If I can't easily get all of my machines to install the same, there is little point. M1 Pro Laptop perfectly liked DDEV, M1 Max Studio, after 2 hours still didn't work properly. Both machines using up-to-date brew, installed with the same commands, very different results
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Any #DDEV users here? Was considering looking at it as a #valet replacement for mostly #laravel dev and some minor other #php dev. Thoughts pros and cons? https://ddev.readthedocs.io/en/stable/

So I started trying to work on that bash script I was building to generate new DDev projects.
I am basing its first build off the CMS Quickstart guide on DDev's site. My first focus was #Drupal as that's my preferred option.
But with all the versions and options I am pondering how to design this.
Will keep you posted. I will also be posting this to the Hybridized Concepts site.

So I have been thinking of ways to make my DDev projects more mobile for me at minimum. I would prefer a workflow that allowed me to work on them, send to #Codeberg or #Github, maybe run through #CircleCI or something similar, then load to the Ubuntu based servers my sites are on.
I am gonna at least start moving projects to USB stick. They can be moved more easily that way and not be dependent on the internet for transfer.
Any recommendations from people who actually know what they are doing are welcome. Cause I am just a novice.

Why DDEV?
In my recent @bitexpert blog post, I'll share my thoughts on why DDEV is an interesting tool for managing local development environments for us. Are you using DDEV already, and why not? :) -

Did short test with #DDEV + #mutagen for one project after recommendation of colleague. This was indeed fast. ⏩⏩⏩ https://ddev.readthedocs.io/en/latest/users/install/performance/#mutagen
("If you’d rather use Mutagen on a specific project, run ddev stop, enable it with ddev config --mutagen-enabled, and ddev start again.")
