Ontario peeps, the LCBO now includes everything in their online/store pricing. The deposit shows on your bill as an extra but it's included in prices on the shelf and those listed online. The Beer Store shows product pricing only, HST and deposit are extra, at least they were last time I checked. The BS doesn't sell St. Andre's anyway so I stocked up this morning. (Igloos are perfect for storing beer, by the way. Just poke a can into the wall and you're good to go.)

Singles and pneumonia shots today. I did not know that if you've had shingles before, there is a 30% higher risk for stroke/heart attack. I had shingles as a teen, as did my youngest daughter. So, the old vaccine didn't address the cardiovascular threat. The new one does. Even if you've had the old vaccine, get the new one. Shingles can also cause blindness. Don't ignore it, folks. (Boost please!)

I see a lot of posts about how we need free press, smart and dedicated journalists and then I see how some smartass French journalist, and I use the term loosely, asks Imane Khelif to answer 'his' question in French. His is marked because I wonder if a female journalist would say something equally as ignorant. Peter Doofus came to mind. Him and his ilk ruin true journalism, if that even exists anymore.

I'm baffled...again. My carrier raised my monthly rate by $2. Not a big deal but it makes no sense. If they'd left things alone, I wouldn't be looking elsewhere. Now, I can easily get more for less than what I was paying before the increase. Why would they lose a 5 year customer for $2? I'm in Canada. Mobile rates suck, at least in Ontario. Fido is the culprit. Videotron and Freedom, same company, are looking very attractive. What did I miss here?

Pork tenderloin was on the menu last evening. (I typed 'manu' by accident. Is that what a cannibal menu is named?) Normally it's Instant Pot and done but I was doing brown rice in the pot. So, air fryer it was. What a wonderful experience! 15 minutes, crispy and just a bit pink. One minute in the microwave cleared that. Look, I don't need to make food tastier, believe me. But air fryer tenderloin is the way of my future.

In Toronto, our transit system does not allow subway suicides to be reported in the media. Maybe it's the same in other cities. Would this help with mass shootings in the U.S.? Do some of these people just want to get their name in the news?

Remember when the police in the States, for instance, would contact 'Inspector Mc**** of the RCMP'. It was always a Mc or a Mac. Now there's 'Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent'. I think it would be cool if EVERY cop on the show was a Mc or a Mac. Wouldn't that be epic?
