  1. It turns out that I am the #IUSSP Early Career Awardee in Europe in 2023. The award acknowledges early career scholars in #demography

Looking at the awardees in other regions of the world, I'm glad to report that the #FutureIsFemale also in our field.

It was also nice to see a strong emphasis on #SRHR and #fertility research among the topics studied by the awardees.

  2. I gave a talk yesterday at the The Fertility and Reproduction Studies Group at Oxford University about social inequalities in #miscarriage in the #UK and how to better measure miscarriage: eventbrite.co.uk/e/social-ineq

Apoligies for not sharing before the talk, but it was just one of those days yesterday...

The talk was recorded, DM me if you would like access!

  3. 📣 New #OpenAccess paper alert:

"Women’s #fertility and allostatic load in the post-reproductive years: An analysis of the Indonesian Family Life Survey" is out now in #PopulationStudies.

We show pregnancies not ending in live births associated with worse physical health in mid- to later life among women, possibly due to unsafe #abortion; or health issues/stress linked to #miscarriage.

Joint work with T. Leone & F. Witolear.

  9. My project Social Inequalities in the Risk and Aftermath of #Miscarriage (SOC-MISC) has been selected for #ERCStartingGrant funding! erc.europa.eu/news-events/news

We'll tackle methodological issues (underreporting, lack of data), assess the social inequalities in the risk of experiencing a miscarriage & in (mental) health consequences of it. We'll compare Finland, France & the UK.

    Stay tuned for more information!

In the meantime, thanks everyone who helped me along the way, you know who you are <3
