Dame Daphne #Sheldrick started the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in 1977 in honour of her late husband David Sheldrick, the founding Warden in #Tsavo East #Kenya. Together with her family they have run the orphan-elephant rescue centre for over 40yrs. She passed away on April 2018.
