I love the #Gurunsi style home covered in an undulating black-and-white check pattern. The optical illusions that visually distort the shapes of the walls are such a fun effect. I also like the parts of the design where it seems like one of the ladies said, “these few squares here, they need to break the pattern by having designs inside them, just for fun.”

Mixed feelings.
On the one hand, I wish African countries to have their own industry, otherwise neocolonialism will never end.On the other hand, SUVs are really one of the last things humanity needs at the moment (a product of US fossil capitalism aiming at frustrated urban middle and upper class dudes) and I wish that all companies producing them to go bankrupt as quick as possible. A strong car industry is also a political liability: these guys lobby the governments away from meaningful environmental protection,
I heard that Kenya's urban population is very quick in adopting small electric vehicles like e-scooters, so maybe there's a window of opportunity. But China dominates the e-mobility industry because of reasons, so it won't be easy to build up alternatives.
And although I don't have any sympathies with international investment funds losing money, it's a bad signal and African industry development will have it more difficult to attain funding.
Haha, although I thought that I don't know what to say, I said already too much 😅
