    The binary packages were built for target release Debian/Trixie and CPU architectures i386, amd64, and arm64.

    The former requirement for a donation has been dropped as it didn't generate any sufficient increase in donations, and rather resulted in wasting even more time with donator access management.

  6. The packages at wmlive.rumbero.org/repo/pool/m have been updated to its current 4.0-r1747 version.
    The builds are based on libsdl3 version 3.2.10 as offered in Debian/Trixie, which is the target release these packages have been built for.
    As usual, packages for i386, amd64, and arm64 have been provided.

    There will be no further builds for Debian/Bookworm, as it doesn't include any libsdl3 support packages.

  8. The current #wmlive distribution based on #Debian / Trixie includes a few custom graphical tools that were relatively easy to create by combining bash shell scripting in combination with the included gtk2 version of #yad.

    As an example, this screenshot here shows a graphical frontend for the dpigs command contained in wmlive, and it is actually just a shell script.

  10. After a few weeks' worth of work and debugging, the #wmlive package repository at wmlive.rumbero.org/repo/ has finally been updated with a new branch named wmlive-trixie. This branch contains all the wmlive specific packages required to build wmlive-trixie ISO images.

  12. I had completely forgotten about the Window Maker Live Linux distribution, currently based on Debian 13.3. Back in the day, Window Maker was, by far, my favorite. I think I'll download this latest release and give it a try. Honestly, technology just isn't as fun as it used to be. Maybe running this distro again will light a spark for me.

    Don't own a NeXT and wouldn't want to have one. The only NeXT aspect of interest to me is the OS and software. There is no need to bother with slow old hardware thanks to

    I own a HP 715/64 runnning its PA-RISC NeXTSTEP 3.3 version, though. Nonetheless, it's never used for anything and i would rather sell it to someone offering a generous amount of cash for it.

    Got OPENSTEP installed on an old 15" Thinkpad T60 with a gorgeous UXGA screen and just love it.
