Daniel Baumann's excellent linux-vulnerability-mitigation tool has been repackaged for both the bookworm and trixie variant of Window Maker Live. Additionally, an updated wmlive-base package with a dependency on the linux-vulnerability-mitigation package for both wmlive variants has been uploaded to to the #wmlive repo.
Users of the wmlive distribution are recommended to update their systems via the apt package managers at their earliest convenience. -

Debian packages for #palemoon 34.2.0 compiled with gtk2 for amd64/arm64/i386 have been uploaded to https://wmlive.rumbero.org/repo/pool/main/p/palemoon/ .
Variants for bookworm are distinguishable by the subrelease version 0wmlive0, and those for trixie by the subrelease version 0wmlive1.

@jloc0 Not sure what revision of the PBP you have, but on mine it was possible to install #debian derivate #wmlive using the arm64 ISO image from https://wmlive.sourceforge.net and Wi-Fi works. Might be necessary to have a recent towboot installed on its SPI to enable EFI boot, though.

An new #wmlive version matching Debian/Trixie point release 13.3 has been made available, this time without any donation requirements.
Check it out at https://wmlive.sourceforge.net
The former requirement for a donation has been dropped as it didn't generate any sufficient increase in donations, and rather resulted in wasting even more time with donator access management.

My 9 year old thinks Window Maker (specifically the dockapps) is the coolest looking interface so I'm obliged to make it my primary desktop once again, now, in the year 2026 CE. FWIW, I first used Window Maker in 1998. #wmlive #windowmaker #xorg #openbsd #linux

Instead of waiting until the end of the year for the disclosure of the passphrase to unpack the encrypted 7z archives of the amd64 and arm64 variants of #wmlive, the Christmas holidays are probably the best time to enjoy playing with it already.
So here is the passphrase: ThanksForYourSupport

Window Maker Live based on Debian/Trixie 13.2 has been released!
For the first time, it is offered for all three architectures i386, amd64, and also arm64.

After a few weeks' worth of work and debugging, the #wmlive package repository at https://wmlive.rumbero.org/repo/ has finally been updated with a new branch named wmlive-trixie. This branch contains all the wmlive specific packages required to build wmlive-trixie ISO images.

The #Previous packages at wmlive.rumbero.org/repo/pool/main/p/previous/ have been updated to version 4.1-r1777.
The binary packages were built for target release Debian/Trixie and CPU architectures i386, amd64, and arm64. -
The #previous packages at https://wmlive.rumbero.org/repo/pool/main/p/previous/ have been updated to its current 4.0-r1747 version.
The builds are based on libsdl3 version 3.2.10 as offered in Debian/Trixie, which is the target release these packages have been built for.
As usual, packages for i386, amd64, and arm64 have been provided. There will be no further builds for Debian/Bookworm, as it doesn't include any libsdl3 support packages.

Andreas Grabher has released version 3.9 of the #NeXT emulator #Previous at https://sourceforge.net/projects/previous/.

The current #wmlive distribution based on #Debian / Trixie includes a few custom graphical tools that were relatively easy to create by combining bash shell scripting in combination with the included gtk2 version of #yad.
As an example, this screenshot here shows a graphical frontend for the dpigs command contained in wmlive, and it is actually just a shell script.

There used to be a video demonstration of #wmlive at https://wmlive.sourceforge.net but no more.
The video hosting company #Vimeo started to impose age verification by acquiring biometric data of a face scan via smartphone camera.
So i decided to terminate relations and had them delete my account. In the long run, i expect to be fully shut out from all these modern technical facilities turning our shared reality into a high tech prison.
I can't ever consent to such blatant tech vigilance measures.

Just verified the current #wmlive version for arm64 boots just fine on a #PinebookPro, thanks to #towboot enabling UEFI booting. This also includes the graphical Debian installer, so no more fiddling with the serial console.
