Retired mainframe systems programmer who was the person assigned things like getting web servers and application servers installed and running on z/OS among other things. Also was involved with calendaring software. Interested in all things tech, including calendar standards, XML/XSLT, interop, and media-augmented communications.

I just heard about the deprecation of XSLT. I thought XSLT was one of the powerful things related to XML, and I did some nice transformations for myself at times. I don't think the transition from XSLT/XML to Javascript/JSON will be as easy as they think, and that the supposedly small percentage of page loads with XSLT will probably (as things usually go in our world) turn out to be some critical pieces to _something_
