Business was booming; I was absolutely swamped with restoration work. He designed the house, and I had it built—I paid for everything. Then we decided we wanted children; we were screwing constantly. Even when I didn't really feel like it... But it didn't work out. So Alan went to the doctor first—everything was fine with him. Then I went, and now here I am, sitting in front of a plate of cold beans, not knowing what to do next. What’s going to happen? Who would even want me now?

Our whole reality is driven by conflicts, and I have the feeling that this isn't absolutely necessary for storytelling.

Well, without revealing too much I can say that Kessy made the choice to kill, and now she's coping with that for the rest of the story.

What is considered completely normal in your story's world that would seem bizarre to us?
Unfortunately, nothing really stands out since the story is set only 63 years in the past. For the youngsters among you some things can be unusual, but for me it was kinda the day before yesterday…
