Let's never forget that Robespierre's Terror Rule fell because, after he arrested many of his former friends/accomplices/minions, the remainding ones started to wonder "will I be the next one?", and begun plotting with each other in order to save their asses and avoid being arrested themselves.
It didn't end well for #Robespierre : a bullet through his jaw and his consequently bandaged head dragged to the guillotine by his former minions, to be separated from the rest of his body.

Épisode 27/44 : "#Hériter": le pouvoir #économique de la #familleMalgré le retour amplement documenté des #inégalités face au #patrimoine, les débats sur sa transmission sont aujourd'hui réduits à la seule question de la #fiscalité. L’héritage, sous la forme d’un leg familial, nous apparaît alors comme une évidence. Mais tel n’a pas toujours été le cas. De Mirabeau à Durkheim, en passant par Robespierre et Fichte, les penseurs du XIXème siècle n'hésitaient pas à débattre de la question et critiquer la notion même de transmission héréditaire. Loin d’être en marge des problématiques politiques et sociales de l'époque, l'héritage était alors le cœur de la pensée révolutionnaire du XIXème et des projets de transformations sociales des penseurs du début du XXème. Alors désigné par le terme “#succession”, l’héritage était ainsi considéré comme la clé de voûte d’un nouvel ordre social. Sa réforme, voire son abolition, étaient le moyen privilégié de mettre fin à l’Ancien régime, puis à la transmission inégalitaire du pouvoir économique.
