#PennedPossibilities 1014 — If it came down to it, would your SC choose to protect the MC in a dangerous situation?
This is an interesting question. In my experience most people would protect others from danger if they could - and if they recognise the situation. In my book (and honestly LOTS of other books) there is no physical danger, apart from maybe a scared pony. The danger Lucy faces and is almost destroyed by is not recognised by others so she has to deal with it all by herself.

#ScribesAndMakers 15/5: What's going well with your creative work so far this month?
Yesterday I came up with a great idea for helping the kids understand fractions of a set of objects. Trying it this morning - it may bomb. Writing hasn't progressed at all since I was sick. That threw me off and I haven't managed to get back on, but the week after next is half term so there's an opportunity. Still planting and planning the garden and playing the fiddle. Also, singing songs with my choir.

#WordWeavers 15/5: What type of writing comes more naturally for you?
All of it and none. In some ways finding the words to express an idea in any form is easy (or natural) but in other ways entirely unnatural. It took me years and years to learn how to make a story work - and now I can, but is it natural? Writing stories is too hard to be natural I'd say. And songs isn't really any different. In one of my books Willem describes magic as being the opposite of nature. That, perhaps?
