N2O is the 3rd-most important greenhouse gas (after methane and CO2). Most of it is produced in agriculture and is difficult to avoid. But a substantial amount is emitted in the chemical industry - and avoiding it there is very cheap. "The N2O gas is an unwanted byproduct in the production of adipic acid, a key ingredient in nylon 6,6, a highly durable plastic used in #airbags and car #tires.

Producing enough nylon 6,6 for the tires, airbags, carseats and other components of a typical passenger vehicle releases more CO2-equivalent GHG than the production of steel used in [that car].

N2O is 273 times more potent as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.

Der Kurs für Stahl liegt zur Zeit bei 18 Euro für 75 Kilo . Abzüglich der Trennscheiben zum Aufschneiden der Flaschen, habe ich damit den Mindestlohn von 15 Euro erreicht...
