If people haven't guessed by now, but against all recommendations, I decided to give Omarchy a try.
I can see the appeal.
I have to really study what is it that made Canonical's decision to do what it did with Ubuntu that knocked the distro down from popularity rankings for desktop Linux distros.
DHH loves to sell "omkase" (chef's taste) as the primary selling point for Omarchy, but couldn't Canonical's decisions also be considered "omakase"? What does Omarchy do that makes Ubuntu less desirable?
(No, I have not donated to Omacom, and I don't plan to.)

I often struggled with Vim, but I finally decided to try Lazyvim, and it's now when Vim almost finally clicked.
That said, I can't honestly be fully productive with it, but it's not bad.

I'm trying out Hyprland.
If I had to guess what the appeal is even among those who aren't sold on tiling window management: it allows for different workspace per monitor, instead multiple workspace shared across all monitors; if one were to switch to a workspace on one screen, then the other screen switches workspaces.
This is a massive pain point that Hyprland does not replicate.
Hence the growing popularity.

This thought just crossed my mind: tax revenue collection becomes tricky with EVs. Alberta levies an annual $200 EV registration tax.
What if roads can recharge EVs; as in feed the cars back with power, and the vehicle itself can get charged with a recharge fee?
