  1. I got so fed up with AppStore Connect to see basic downloads + purchases stats for my apps so I just created a simple dashboard to show me the data the way I want it.

Now open source for any to use if interested github.com/igorkulman/app-stor

  2. @igorkulman Could you test this? #Crowfi TestFlight 0.9.0 (1003) just added the "long press link to share" feature. testflight.apple.com/join/T2bf

  3. @igorkulman TBF this is standard #Apple fare. A while back I tried to create an Apple ID for my son and got stuck at "Something went wrong. Please try again later"—because I had truthfully specified his age as 13. "You have to be 16 to create an Apple ID" would have been great. "Try again in 3 years" would have been sufficiently helpful, but no. Completely indistinguishable from "network problem" or "server is broken". WTF 🤬
The only brilliant thing about this company is their marketing that somehow managed to get them a "good for non-technical people" reputation even while their error messages were usually gibberish of the sort "The application was terminated due to error -42", *some* of which you could sort of understand if you were nerdy enough to have the #m68k exception vector table memorized (#15: tried to execute FPU code on an FPU-less machine; #5: division by zero, etc.). As long as everything works, it's nice and glitzy, but as soon as there's a problem, Apple stuff gets more hostile than any #Linux. And "I pay for it so I can get support when I have a problem" has been a sad joke for years.

  10. I wrote about why I wanted a quieter anime tracker.

After years of watching anime, my habits shifted toward seasonal shows, week by week. At some point I realized I only really cared about two things: what airs today, and where I left off.

That led me to build a small, intentionally simple iOS app — and to write down the reasoning behind it.

  15. Today is #JLPT result day, I passed #JLPTN4 with much better results that I expected. My #japanese is continuously getting better.

  16. I wrote up some notes on how Yomu handles Japanese text on iOS:
tokenization, furigana rendering, and building an offline JMDict database.

Mostly a record of the tradeoffs and things that didn’t work.
