I don't know what led to this in recent weeks, but I feel like my stomach has gotten used to eating less. My brain isn't aligned with it. But as long as I keep my mood balanced, I manage to eat in a quantity that matches what my body actually feels like.

It's not helping me lose weight. But
maybe I'll get used to being at a stable weight and stop thinking about it.

From a conversation at the office, two weeks ago:
O: "So are there any hotties among your flatmates?"
A: "Not that I've noticed, I don't swing that way."
O: "Really? Then why are you wearing nail polish?"

Month 9 since moving to Portugal: I got my nails done, went to a massage therapist, visited a dental clinic for a cleaning.

The dentist does the cleaning here herself. She was very gentle. The treatment was quick. I suffered significantly less than the last time I had a cleaning.

He was also joking last week that I painted my nails because it's a dress code at work. As you can probably tell, he's a bit fixed in his views about how men should look.

My dad today, the moment we got on the call: "Is there a law against haircuts in Portugal?" Look how pretty my curls are! Why cut them off.

Ugh, starting a shift on a Sunday this miserable. What's went on this week is super unusual. Nothing like this has happened to me in many, many months.

Now and then there's a leap in how I understand Portuguese words. I suddenly notice I'm reading things without even thinking about them. So magical.
