  1. The Kettentiden-Eider project investigates the link between North Sea water levels and inland #flooding in the Eider-Treene catchment. As part of #ZukunftEider, we're using statistical and hydraulic methods to identify critical discharge conditions and develop adaptation strategies. Our mission: enhance flood management and prepare for #climate impacts #compoundfloods #extremeweather #ClimateAdaptation #hydriv #SchleswigHolstein

  2. This year's @hydriv excursion on #water #management in #coastal regions took us along the Dutch and German North Sea coasts. The first stop was the #Knock #sluice and #pumping station with a great introduction to the current and future challenges of #drainage management in Germany. 1/3

  12. Measuring stations installed – research underway! 🔬

Our team has installed precipitation collectors at various altitudes in the Harz Mountains.🌧️ We are studying water isotopes to understand how rainwater seeps underground through the rock and emerges in the Ernst-August-Stollen.⛰️
The one-year measurement campaign aims to show whether these water movements can be detected.
