Threads federating _should_ lead to creators feeling it's _even safer_ to invest in open and ethical platforms.

#MacStories has shown the way, by creating their own instance (https://www.macstories.net/news/macstories-is-on-mastodon-with-its-own-server/) - and I think publications like The Verge should do the same.

You'd think publications have been enough burned by Meta, X and #Google to not want to go straight back into their fold??
