Today is Murder Kitty's Gotcha-versary! I picked her up off the street three years ago. She was semi-feral and not happy to be in a comfy home for quite awhile. It's been a gradual process, but there's almost no murder left in her. The past year has been a major turning point. She now demands affection regularly, sleeps with me, and I can even usually walk up to her and pet her without getting a warning nip.
Ok, maybe she still has a little murder left.

The first Throwing Muses SF show on over a dozen years (I got tickets with my latest set of recruits!) sold out quickly. They added a second date, which also sold out, so now they're adding a third. Yay!
Minneapolis also sold out and is getting an additional date.

Yesterday I was in my ancient car listening to an ancient mix CD I had gotten maybe 15+ years ago in a new-to-you music swap on the long-defunct official #ThrowingMuses message board. I've long since lost the track list. I try to identify a song using Google, which a friend had been using the day before to ID background songs in a noisy bar. Google "listens" to my mystery song for about 10 seconds and then kind of shrugs like "idk. is that even music?"

I painted my nails yesterday, completely forgetting this weekend is the Pokemon Go Tour. I could have done a Pokemon theme. ☹️

I just registered for my first World Cube Association competition so I can wow everyone with my 90-second solve time. But mostly just to see what a competition is like.
I have a month to try to get it down to 89 seconds.

I'm watching the last couple episodes of Extraordinary Attorney Woo and they introduce a new character first seen with a #speedcube. And it's a real stickerless cube, not a crappy official Rubik's cube. But then I think, well, this is just a standard use of the cube as shorthand for "this character is a stereotypical nerd."
But wait! He has a least two cubes on his nightstand! Ok, we're getting somewhere.
And then he walks by this wall display in his bedroom.
