Just had a look at #dendrite as #synapse replacement for matrix chat. Doesn't seem to work as expected. Had a lot of issues joining rooms, loading images and more. Maybe synapse is still the number one thing for matrix.
Just found #dicedb (https://github.com/DiceDB/dice) does someone has any experience with it?
