    The Moon will first enter the main shadow of the Earth - the umbra - at 02h 13m UTC (3:13 a.m. BST, 4:13 CEST), and will leave it at 03h 16m UTC (4:16 BST, 5:16 CEST).

    The eclipse will be visible extensively across Europe, Africa and the Americas.

  19. Popular astronomy: a rather minor partial lunar eclipse will take place tonight. The southern part of the Moon's disc will enter the umbral (main inner) part of the Earth's shadow at 19h 35m UTC, and leave at 20h 53m UTC.

    The times of the umbral eclipse will be 20:35 to 21:53 BST, 21:35 to 22:53 CEST.

    The entire eclipse will be visible from Europe, Africa and almost all of Asia.
