    I also have a Drake carving knife on order. 6 month lead time. And I'm on the waiting list to be able to order a Helvie knife.

    I guess I'm a little obsessed.

    My current collection of carving tools. In order of most loved/used.

    1. OCC Tools knife. Wonderful.
    2. Flexcut Pocket Jack 2.0. Multitool, folding, locking. Great for carrying on a walk.
    3. Flexcut V-tool. For shaping grooves, etc.
    4. Flexcut Whittlin' Jack. 2 blades. Non-locking. So hard to open and close that it's dangerous. Not super comfortable.
    5. Old Timer multitool carving knife. Cheap, low quality, but not a horrible buy if you just want to try out carving.
