Just the other day I also found this amazing color picker at oklch.com which has interactive versions of the same (plus a 3D viz too)...

  9. @bit101 #ublockorigin has filters that hide most of those - so website should treat it like you didn't click anything yest, just without eating up screen estate. Or, there is #CookieAutodelete firefox addon which removes cookies automatically (so impact of accepting them is much lower).

  15. I also have a Drake carving knife on order. 6 month lead time. And I'm on the waiting list to be able to order a Helvie knife.

    I guess I'm a little obsessed.

  16. My current collection of carving tools. In order of most loved/used.

    1. OCC Tools knife. Wonderful.
    2. Flexcut Pocket Jack 2.0. Multitool, folding, locking. Great for carrying on a walk.
    3. Flexcut V-tool. For shaping grooves, etc.
    4. Flexcut Whittlin' Jack. 2 blades. Non-locking. So hard to open and close that it's dangerous. Not super comfortable.
    5. Old Timer multitool carving knife. Cheap, low quality, but not a horrible buy if you just want to try out carving.

  20. I wrote a small tool in C to interpret the #SYSEX files for the #Crumar #BIT99 and #BIT01. It's handy as you can inspect how a certain patch is configured (DCO1 and 2, VCF, LFO1 and 2 etc). I even found an error in the BIT99 manual: the bit order of certain parameters is reversed! The little tool is still quite rough around the edges, but it begins to work.
