    Me: makes misuse-resistant cryptographic API with special "hazmat" escape hatches that still allow people to do bad/insecure things

    Issue reporter: "I can't do bad/insecure thing X"

    Me: "Here's a special API I made just for you so you can do bad/insecure thing X"

    Issue reporter: "I want the default API to allow me to do bad/insecure thing X" (often followed with "OpenSSL lets me do it, why don't you?")
