Throughout the past few days I've learned so many things about #SSD and #NAND memories that I collected it in one place: https://www.alkoclick.space/things-i-learned-about-ssds

I wrote some things about the act of #forgetting , especially in the context of digital spaces. In short, I think we should develop better ways to do it, and I'm curious to hear if this matches anyone else's perception. These thoughts may be a bit basic, but they were new to me.

I have successfully tested my #backrest backups for the #paperless_ngx install today and it went swimmingly! If that's your jam, here's my process: https://www.alkoclick.space/paperless-backup-restoration-guide
I was joking to a friend that this homelab is gonna be #iso27001 compliant before long. Doing some adulting as well, I also set up home contents and liability insurance for me and my partner and I feel successful :successKid:

Inspired by @cadey 's salary transparency page, decided to join in and post my own data. These are my salaries over the past few years of working in tech, both self-employed and for bigger orgs.

Nothing but praise for #KeebArt , I got my new keyboard from them (Piantor Pro BT) and couldn't be happier: Here it is surrounded by my old, wired ZSA Moonlander.

Artist wanted around #Amsterdam , or anywhere that allows you to get to Amsterdam! The project is painting on an interior wall, roughly 2x4 metres. I'm looking for a piece in street art style, but I am quite open to both themes and styles. This will ofc be paid work, in case I needed to make it clear! Feel free to reach out here, link me your portfolio or kdeas and we can talk about specifics ^-^
(Obligatory cat tax so that this post shows up to the Pixelfeders)

Foggy and cold day today, but managed to clock in 40Km around Amsterdam, went to Zaandam and back!

Typically my work experience (SRE) feeds into my #homelab hobby, but recently I've had a couple of surprising finds from the homelab folks that are useful in my day job!
1. #dozzle is a great tool for getting logs from different docker containers running locally, also offers a quick overview of resource usage. Extremely low resource util, it typically runs at about 50M of memory in my setup (18 containers currently). Check it out over at https://dozzle.dev/
2. IT-tools is something I run into, and it's an honestly spectacular collection of tools you might need in everyday computer tasks, all runnable in browser. I had been leaning into LLMs lately to quickly convert formats (e.g YAML to JSON etc), and I've always found myself getting back to the JWT website to inspect JWTs, so this is super useful for me. You can check out the demo here: https://it-tools.tech/

#Kdenlive is pretty damn nice but the lack of good support for hardware accelerated renders is killing me - I basically can't produce anything in 4K because of that. Trying out #davinci_resolve atm
