Liminal Horror tonight was so good. Omens. Cattle mutilations. Missing persons in the wilderness. The ubiquitous missing left shoe.
It was dramatic, emotional, and fun. -
Rifts tonight was a hoot. They got into a secret Coalition Prison, freed a bunch of prisoners, defeated a powerful psionicist, and met Bob, the pre-Rifts Maintenance Bot.
After last week's Posole Fiasco, they felt good about finally getting it right. -

Had a very good practice session this morning. After a long time and a lot of work I can do the Baguazhang 8 animal forms with my eyes closed. This has really improved my balance and my ability to listen to the inside of my body.
If you practice a martial art with forms, I highly recommend practice with eyes closed or blindfolded. It's a fantastic experience.

I enjoy stance training or zhan zhuang. It is my favorite sort of meditation and in spite of what some folks say, I think it brings quite a bit to fighting. Strong legs, relaxed nervous system, strengthened postural muscles.
Try taking a stance and spending 30 minutes just standing breathing and relaxing.

It has been a wonderful day. I did a lot of training. It's really cool to feel the progress of years begin to pay off as my body becomes a more comfortable place to be.

So as Twitter enters it's death throes and I am sitting here on Mastodon. I realize that in many ways this whole Twitter coming apart debacle touches on some of my old trauma.
I feel left behind. Like I remember standing alone in a playground weeping inconsolably because everyone was gone and I could not follow.
Minds are funny things. They get touched by a detail and it conjures forth a huge web of memories. Some good some bad.

Baguazhang this morning was very good and cleansing. A lot of junk in my heart and mind was released. For me, my martial practice is intensely healing, it goes beyond fighting into nourishing life.

Later some flexibility work and my 100 kicks for the day.
Kung Fu means Work and Time.
My first Tai Chi teacher said it best: "Give them the right method and work the hell out of them."

So I brought the Minion War between Hades and Dyval to Rifts Earth. My players are having a wonderful time slaughtering demons and they made some enemies by destroying Andros the Marquis of Hades. The Demons have learned to fear power armor now. #ttrpg #rifts #palladiumbooks
