    That's one side of the argument - You have provided information on the low concentration of uranium in some ore projects.

    The other side of the argument is the incredible energy density of uranium. Natural Gas has the highest energy density of common fuels at 55 Mj/kg. The energy density of U235 is 3,900,00 Mj/kg. Source: energyeducation.ca/encyclopedi

    For this reason, nuclear power provides a high Energy Return Over Investment ratio #EROI of around 100.

    There are no solutions only trade-offs.

    This meme is provided by Generation Atomic.

    Yes, there is a leak, but tritium is not an especially dangerous isotope at these concentrations.

    We see here a bug with nuclear power when serious pollution and CO2 emissions are a feature of all fossil fuels.

    A significant concern of mine is that we need to use high Energy Return on Investment #EROI sources of power. EROI of different sources of energy are: /1

    @Angelica

    Finally, I'm confident that the superior #EROI of nuclear will gradually lead to the replacement of #wind and #solar That's a long way of saying that, IMO, #nuclear and #renewables will co-exist. 2/end

  10. @aashisjoshi

    I share what I understsnd to be your concerns that a transition to #Renewables . In my opinion we need to go with energy systems that use #NuclearPower as these offer very high #EROI

  11. CW: Pro #NuclearPower opinion concerning #EROI

    #EROI ( Energy Return over Energy Invested) is in my opinion, is a fundamental metric that can explain the advance of the world. Cal Able has a guest piece on Emmet Penney's Substack 'Grid Brief' on this topic. This is a difficult read but worthwhile. The article suggests that current #NuclearPower has a EROI around 75 and a breeder reactor has a EROI of 800. Global current EROI of oil is around 20. We should roll out nuclear power at pace!

    I like to think of myself as a #nuclear nerd. However, while Uranium glass is of some interest, I'm more interested in the high #EROI that #NuclearPower offers
