Planning on attending Wild West Hacking fest this year. Any tips for a first timer? I spent the last 3 years in Vegas and am excited to attend a more local conference this year. #WWHF

We're back from Wild West Hackin' Fest! Thank you to Black Hills Information Security for organizing the event and to everyone who stopped by our booth to see the Agentic SecOps Workspace in action.
We hosted a stop on the Sponsor Stampede, held AI in the SOC Office Hours, and Chris Botelho delivered a talk on building AI infrastructure that scales beyond proof-of-concept demos.
The highlight of any conference is hearing from teams using LimaCharlie day-to-day. John Strand, owner of Black Hills Information Security, shared how the platform has enabled his team to handle twice the number of customers with their current staff while cutting their cost per endpoint in half.
"Your team is our team. Our team is your team. We're literally working together and solving problems." (Full interview coming soon.)
That collaboration is what drives our work. Building infrastructure that gives service providers the freedom to scale without adding headcount or complexity.
See you at Deadwood in October.

We're heading to Wild West Hackin' Fest' this week as a gold sponsor. Stop by our booth to see the Agentic SecOps Workspace in action!
Here's what we're up to:
Wednesday - Sponsor Stampede at Henry's Tavern
Thursday, 2-4pm - AI in the SOC Office Hours. Join us for an informal social hour to connect over drinks and small bites.
Friday, 9-9:50am - AI Beyond Triage and Hunting session
Our work integrating 100+ security APIs into Claude showed that the MCP approach is unwieldy and collapses under its own weight.
We'll walk through the architectural problems that break MCP at production scale, then cover the progressive disclosure pattern we built instead. Using Claude Skills with structured markdown schemas, we maintain full API access while keeping context overhead minimal.
You'll see the difference between toy integrations and production workflows that handle complex multi-step operations, maintain state across API boundaries, and actually fit in the context window alongside your security data.
Add the session to your schedule: https://web.cvent.com/event/1dbf78f6-bde8-4ad2-90f9-3212c148205d/websitePage:64e10132-4cb6-404c-b3b7-7cb06d280643?session=48ee8344-7d3a-42b6-986a-a3f5b3b191d3&shareLink=true

#WildWestHackinFest #WWHF 1 skilled infosec analyst > 10 unskilled infosec analysts… each org is unique so effectiveness requires org-specific knowledge… this means you can’t really hire skilled analysts (at least not consistently/reliably), you have to train and build them to be effective within your org. It’s 100% worth building the organizational capability to develop talent and most orgs make that investment in other teams, infosec should be no different.

While doing a night photo shoot at the Illinois Railway Museum this weekend, I took a quick cell phone shot of the last remaining E5 engine and a model. Pretty proud of this one. Can’t wait till I get back from #WWHF to see the shots from my DSLr.
