A new gallup poll says 16% of Americans would like to leave - mostly populations that traditionally vote Democrat. The number for women is 20% and for those under 30 it's 30%.
While "I'm going to Canada" is a common response to political dissatisfaction, these numbers are alarming.
When making plans to leave, be aware, as conditions worsen more cis people will leave, making it harder to get out.

Much of being @trans_rescue 's director really sucks, but one part is very moving. I get to talk with #trans people in the US and UK about their options for getting out, and those conversations are mostly about their lives - their partners, careers, and aspirations. And we so rarely do that as trans people. The stories of our lives have 'I worked like crazy to get this restaurant going' edited out.
